The artistic language of Daria Kudinova was formed from many components: studying at the Moscow Institute of Design, and then in New York, painting with the American artist Shimon Okshtein and working in fashion photography. All this melted into the recognizable style of her abstract painting. The word "remelted" is not used here by chance: "remelting" is both a method and a visual connection with Kudinova's works. The artist works at the intersection of different media: painting, sculpture, photography. Our canvases lie on the verge of abstract and figurative and the ceiling, this line is equally conditional. According to Kudinova, the engine of her work is "to come up with something unrecognizable, but real." Bright "dense" colors of her works are smoothly transformed, taking on different shades, and fluid forms shimmer alone in the far limits in endless movement, forming an incredible "something" that pulsates with its own life. Yet the "reality" of the form and the effect of "recognition", which is achieved through a complex process of creating works. The initial experience is usually purchased or found household objects made of plastics, from toys to disposable tableware. They are melted down and combined in a new way and thus begin to occur according to other laws and have a different structure. These images are transferred on the canvas, giving freedom in prevalence, because the material nature of the natural world spreads behind unusual forms.
